When we introduced Midaxo AI a year ago, the focus was on what it felt like to use: an always-available partner that surfaced insights, cut repetitive work, and traveled with your deals from pipeline to close. The response from corporate development teams was immediate and consistent. They liked having access to AI that understood M&A work specifically, not a general-purpose assistant they had to teach from scratch on every deal.

Since then, the market has gotten very loud on this topic. It’s exciting, but with vendors rushing to attach AI capabilities to existing products or surfacing third-party tools as platform features, the resulting fragmented landscape makes a critical question harder to answer: when AI touches your most sensitive deal data, where does that data actually go?

That question matters a lot in M&A. We want to answer it directly, and explain what we’ve built and why.

AI that grows with your program

Companies that grow through acquisition are rarely doing individual deals. They're building a repeatable capability and a programmatic approach to finding, evaluating, and integrating targets that compounds in value over time. That capability depends on accumulated knowledge: past deal patterns, diligence findings, integration lessons, institutional context.

When AI lives in a separate tool (aka a document Q&A window, or a plugin that touches your platform but operates outside it) you run the risk that none of that knowledge compounds. That context disappears when the session ends.

Midaxo AI was built inside the platform from day one and covers the full M&A lifecycle from strategy to post-close. Its analysis and answers are grounded in actual deals within your M&A program, not a model's general training combined with whatever scraps of context it’s given. For teams running two acquisitions a year or twenty, that's the difference between a productivity tool and a genuine competitive advantage.

Midaxo AI surfaces answers from within your project with no tab-switching and no copy-pasting.

Security as part of the furniture

M&A transactions involve some of the most sensitive data a company handles. Target financials. Unreleased strategic plans. Legal exposure. Personnel decisions. Routing that data through a third-party AI connector, or into a general-purpose model your security team didn't evaluate, is a material risk that most legal and compliance functions would be uncomfortable with.

Midaxo AI was designed around this reality from the start. To remind you of our security ethos:

Your data never trains our models. Everything you share with Midaxo AI is isolated to your workspace. We do not use customer data to train foundational models. Full stop.

AI operations run inside Midaxo's secure environment, end-to-end encrypted. There's no data leaving your walls to reach a third-party service.

Permissions govern AI access the same way they govern human access. If a user can't see a document, Midaxo AI won't surface insights from it for them. Granular controls extend to both function and content level.

Every AI action is logged. Queries, summaries, enrichments, approvals, all of it captured in a complete audit trail. For teams operating under regulatory scrutiny or internal governance requirements, this is a baseline expectation.

You own everything Midaxo AI generates. Summaries, action plans, extracted terms, all of them are your IP, with no ambiguity.

ISO 27001-audited controls back the entire environment with independent verification that our security commitments are real.

These features form a coherent security posture that reflects how seriously Midaxo takes your data and the knowledge that M&A data needs to be protected. For more on our approach, visit the Midaxo security and compliance page.

What it does across the deal by role

Midaxo AI works across the deal team for every function.

M&A leads get real-time pipeline visibility, deal progress tracking, and proactive bottleneck identification without chasing status updates across the team.

CFOs and finance teams get rapid access to key financial data, early identification of anomalies, and the ability to ask pointed questions and get answers grounded in the documents in their workspace.

Legal teams get automated flagging of risky clauses, extraction of key terms from contracts and leases, and compliance issue identification that used to take hours of manual review.

Deal teams get extracted document insights, automatic field population from uploaded materials, and real-time intelligence that keeps target information current as companies evolve.

Integration leaders get deal status at a glance, next-best-step recommendations, and KPI tracking that connects what was promised pre-close to what's being delivered after.

Running in the background across all of these: continuous cross-project analysis with the ability to flag delays, surface unresolved issues, and catch incomplete tasks before they become problems. For an M&A program running several deals at once, that kind of ambient intelligence is hard to replicate with any other approach.

Built for M&A and recognized for it

In November 2025, Midaxo was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide AI-Enabled Deal Management 2025 Vendor Assessment, an independent evaluation of how AI is being applied to the deal management category. The recognition reflects what our customers have already found: AI purpose-built for M&A, governed end-to-end within a single platform, performs the way

"M&A teams are moving beyond systems of record toward systems of intelligence," said Erica Magnergård, CEO of Midaxo. "Our focus has been to build an M&A intelligence platform that brings together data, workflows, and AI across the entire deal lifecycle."

What's next

Midaxo AI today already represents a significant shift in how deal teams operate. What's coming next is a step further.

We're working on the next generation of Midaxo AI — one that moves from answering questions to taking action, proactively surfacing what matters, connecting signals across deal stages, and helping coordinate the work of M&A with even less manual effort required.

We'll have more to share soon. In the meantime, the foundation we've built in the security model, the lifecycle coverage, and the deep integration with how M&A actually works is exactly what makes that next step possible to carry out responsibly.
